#Sabrina the teenage witch movie amazon series
The series premiered in 1996 on ABC in the US and ITV and Nickelodeon in the UK, and ended in 2003. The 90s and 00s classic features her talking cat and confidante Salem, enviable fashion, the ‘other realm’ of magical beings and an iconic opening credits scene. Sabrina spends her time as a witch-in-training, while balancing it with her ‘normal’ teenage life of friends, boys, school and bullies. The series follows Sabrina Spellman, who lives with her 600-year-old witch aunts Hilda and Zelda, and learns she has magical powers on her 16th birthday. Great packaging and, aside from one episode, all played as they should, definitely worth the price (even if only for the first few seasons, which were the best in my opinion.Every single episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch has been added to Amazon Prime Video just in time for Halloween. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. Some of the older reviews show this series to come in a collection of plastic DVD cases but I was happy to find it now comes in a card box with a simple and easy design for flipping through the episodes and seasons (each disc is even labelled with the episode titles so you can't get lost.) I think more box-sets should adopt efficient ways like this of grouping discs without the need for so much plastic. After watching the complete series I can say that (although they looked a little scratched) all discs played! However, for me, episode 22 of season 1 (The Great Mistake) jumped during the later half of the episode (it kept juddering as if buffering) and continued to do so no matter what device the disc was played on (I did finish the episode but it took about double the time to watch.) Aside from that, all episodes played through as they should and looked as I would expect them to (not sure why anyone would expect HD clarity for something that came out in the 90's.) I read a lot of mixed reviews about whether these discs played or not so I thought I should review my experience. A tiny spec of dust and its curtains, the disc will grind against the cardboard as you put it back in. The packaging is truly awful, and if they aren't scratched upon removal, soon will be after repeated use. Brand new discs become scratched as soon as you remove them to watch them. I see this type of packaging across many different dvd and blu ray sets on Amazon and elsewhere. Manufacturers also really need to stop with these terrible cardboard slip sleeve designs and should be ashamed at their blatant money saving attempts at the expense of the end user getting damaged products. As it was past the midway point every time leads me to believe it's a fault with the dual layer part of the discs. Usually after the mid way point the disc would freeze and cause my player to constantly seek but ultimately fail to continue reading. I gave up testing after 1 disc from every single season upto season 3 had playback issues, forcing me to return it for a refund. Absolutely terrible packaging, and poor quality discs.
